چکیده

This paper investigates the performance analysis of cognitive-inspired wireless-powered non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) systems, where two collaborative schemes are jointly proposed to enhance quality-of-signal at primary cell-edge (CE) user in dead zones. In particular, first scheme, namely internal schemes, is developed based on availability cell-near users (CU), while rest, called external comes from help a secondary source (SS). For second SS’ operation considered with relaying-encoding NOMA protocols, decode-and-forward (DF) and amplifier-and-forward (AF). order enable CE’s communications short execution times, power-splitting mechanism both CU SS. To capture system’s trend accurately, closed-form approximate expressions for outage probability derived. Moreover, we also carry out respective asymptotic expression high transmit power regimes show some useful insight, such as diversity coding gain. Finally, extensive Monte-Carlo simulations presented collaborate accuracy theoretical numerical results that scheme provides enhancement better than using only one scheme.

NOMA Assisted Wireless Caching: Strategies and Performance Analysis

This paper investigates the coexistence of two important enabling techniques for future wireless networks, non-orthogonal multiple-access (NOMA) and wireless caching, and we show that the use of NOMA ensures that the two caching phases, content pushing and content delivery, can be more effectively carried out, compared to the conventional orthogonal multiple-access (OMA) based case. Two NOMA ca...

The accuracy of the inverse solution that finds the spatial location of the generating sources from averaged scalp-recorded event related potentials (ERPs) relies on assumptions about the ERP signals and the sources. We provide evidence that using independent component analysis (ICA) as a signal decomposition filter prior to applying the inverse solution reveals sources that cannot be detected ...

A cursory examination of the history of Artificial Intelligence, AI, serves to highlight several strong claims from its researchers, especially in relation to the populist form of computationalism that holds, 'any suitably programmed computer will instantiate genuine conscious mental states purely in virtue of carrying out a specific series of computations'. The argument to be presented in this...

Ambient Intelligence systems, also called Smart Spaces (SS), are designed to provide users with augmented services that do not need intensive and invasive interaction efforts. To obtain this, SS main functionalities are sensing, analysis, decision, action/ communication. In the scope of this wide research field, this paper particularly deals with the analysis task through the study of a theoret...

We present a model for predicting eye movements of an observer viewing dynamic scenes. Supervised-learning techniques are used to tune the model for a particular observer. The approach builds on earlier work [3], adding a saccade detector that is used to switch between two different algorithms for saccade and inter-saccade prediction, respectively. This separation yields a significant improveme...
